Strictly Business is a 1991 comedy that involves two friends who devised a deal that will help one get a better job and the other the girl of his dreams. In the film, Bobby Johnson (Tommy Davidson) is a fun-loving guy who likes to go out and have a good time. He is a mail clerk in a large real estate firm and not exactly the best employee. It does not really matter to him because his best friend Wayman Tinsdale III (Joseph Phillips) is almost a partner in the firm, so his job is secure. Wayman is a hard worker, who has never really learned how to relax and have a good time. The two decide to strike a deal with each other to help them each get what they want. Bobby agrees to help Wayman get the girl of his dreams, Natalie (Halle Berry), and Wayman agrees to help Bobby get promoted to a broker trainee. Both men quickly realize that keeping their end of the deal will not be as easy as they thought. Since Natalie is a club promoter and likes to have fun, Wayman is going to have to learn to fit into that atmosphere. Since Bobby is a lazy employee, who does not listen to his boss, he must learn to be responsible. If either of these men hopes to get what they want, they are going to need to change who they are and quickly.
