Striking Range, a 2006 action film written and directed by Daniel Millican and filmed in Dallas, Texas, is the story of wealthy tycoon and businessman Ted Billings (Glenn Morshower), who betrays his partners in a weapons deal over an advanced, next-generation particle beam weapon. Fearing a backlash, Billings decides to hire protection, and has his vice-president of security, Emily Johanson (Yancy Butler), call in her ex-boyfriend Eugene "Vash" Vasher (Lou Diamond Phillips), who is a mercenary-for-hire. Billings faces attacks from all sides, and Vasher and his team of mercenaries soon have their hands full as they use all their tactical wit to keep Billings safe and sound. The situation is further complicated as Vasher finds himself bonding with his former flame, Johanson, who may not be all that she appears; Vasher also has to deal with protecting a client that he doesn't have much respect for and who seems to have a hidden agenda.
