Striptease is the controversial 1996 erotic comedy adapted from the bestselling novel by Carl Hiaasen and directed by Andrew Bergman (The Freshman, It Could Happen to You, Honeymoon in Vegas). Erin Grant (Demi Moore, Ghost, A Few Good Men, Nothing But Trouble, Disclosure) loses care and custody of her daughter when she's divorced from her husband Darrell (Robert Patrick, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Fire in the Sky), a small-time thief. Struggling for money, she is a dancer at a nightclub, where one night Congressman Dilbeck, Burt Reynolds (Boogie Nights, Deliverance, Smokey and the Bandit, Hooper, Cop and a Half), in disguise, attacks another member of the audience. A spectator, who recognizes Dilbeck and is fond of Erin, offers to get back her daughter by blackmailing Dilbeck. Things do not work out as planned, though. Also starring Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction, The People Under the Stairs, Dawn of the Dead).
