Sublime follows the turmoil of a medical mistake when happy family man George Grieves (Tom Cavanagh) checks into Mt. Abaddon Hospital for a routine colonoscopy. Dr. Sharazi (Cas Anvar) confuses George with another patient and gives him a thoracoscopic sympathectomy to cure sweaty palms. The medical complications continue, each more horrific than the last, as George's physical and mental condition continues to deteriorate. His wife, Jenny (Kathleen York), is helpless to save George as his hallucinations and paranoia become more and more bizarre. He finds himself trapped in his own mind, facing his worst fears, and trying desperately to return to the waking world. In order to find out what's wrong with the East Ward, George must face a host of evil characters, including Mandingo (Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs), a sadistic nurse. The 2007 psychological thriller was directed by Tony Krantz. The film is rated R for violent content, language and sexual situations.
