Suddenly is the story of Marcia (Tatiana Saphir), a woman who was just living her own miserable, boring life. Marcia worked the counter of a small lingerie store in Buenos Aires when her life changed forever. Uncertainty and danger replaces her routine life of sleep, work, and food. Everything changes for Marcia when she gets into a taxi cab and is hijacked by two women. Those two women are Mao (Carla Crespo) and Lenin (Veronica Hassan), two lesbians that have a penchant for living life dangerously. The two hijackers then decide to take Marcia with them to the small town of Rosario. It is there that Marcia, Mao, and Lenin learn life lessons of pleasure and pain while staying with Lenin's aunt. While there, they are introduced to a unique set of characters that are as complicated and layered as they are. Diego Lerman directs this unique black and white film, and slowly peels back the various layers of each woman, leaving them exposed and vulnerable. By the end of the movie, each of the three women embark on a new journey in their lives.moreless
