Sugarhill is a 1994 crime drama starring Wesley Snipes in a story about two brothers who have had to fight for survival their whole lives, working their way up the Harlem drug-dealing ladder to survive the dangerous streets. Snipes plays Romello Skuggs, who, along with his brother Raynathan Skuggs (Michael Wright), has become a big-time dealer in Harlem after years of bloody work. These days, Romello is tiring of the drug game. He's going out with a good woman named Melissa (Theresa Randle), who has him thinking of starting a new life on the straight and narrow. Raynathan, however, is scared about the repercussions of leaving the world of crime. The film is directed by Leon Ichaso and co-stars Clarence Williams III and Abe Vigoda. Sugarhill is a gripping modern film noir about how much easier it is to break in to the criminal lifestyle than it is to break free.
