Sugarhouse is a gritty 2007 crime drama directed by Gary Love. Tom (Steven Mackintosh), is a white-collar accountant who wants to buy a gun to murder his wife. Tom wants to gain the weapon illegally to avoid the red tape, so he ends up trying to purchase the gun in a run-down squatter's building on the wrong side of town. He tries to negotiate with a crack-head, D (Ashley Walters), for the gun who attempts to rip him off. The gun in question was actually stolen by D from a psychotic mobster, Hoodwink (Andy Serkis), who would kill to get his special snub-nose pistol back in his possession. Tom, who gains possession of the gun, has to outsmart the crazed madman and the two end up in an abandoned warehouse. Way out of his league, Tom winds up in a dangerous cat and mouse game with Hoodwink that could turn out to be a very deadly endeavor.
