Surviving Eden is a comedy that pokes fun at reality TV and stars whose only talent is getting rich quick. After losing 150 pounds and winning Eden a "Biggest-Loser" or "Survival" style television show, Dennis Flotchky (Michael Panes) is both rich and famous, but has no idea how to live in the real world. He returns home to a white-trash community and his stint on reality TV, tailed by a documentary film team. Leeches, who were not his friends before his stint on TV show up hoping to get in on a piece of the pie and tabloid cameras stalk Dennis, hoping to get a quality photo to slap on their front page. As his fortune and reputation are quickly depleting, Dennis must find a way to change his life style and recover his assets before it's too late. An incomplete version of the film appeared at the South By Southwest Film Festival and was met with high praise.
