Rating:

Suspiria is a 1977 horror film. Directed by Dario Argento, the film follows Suzy Bannion (Jessica Harper), a young American woman who has traveled alone with the dream of studying at a prestigious European ballet academy. The very night that Suzy arrives, she is greeted by a dark and oppressive atmosphere. The academy may look luxurious and decadent, but her instructors are cold and unwelcoming, including Madame Blanc (Joan Bennett) and Miss Tanner (Alida Valli). As Suzy tries unsuccessfully to settle in and focus on perfecting her craft, she is instead distracted by bizarre sounds and odd occurrences. Her fellow students, including Sarah (Stefania Casini) and Olga (Barbara Magnolfi), seem unwilling to offer any answers. Suzy worries that the academy is starting to affect her well-being. After fainting during class, she is uncertain whether she is going crazy or if the European ballet academy really does hide dark and dangerous secrets.
