Sweet November is a moving romantic drama about Sara Deever (Sandy Dennis), a unique woman who has trouble settling down. Each month, she finds a new man to be her lover. During each relationship, Sara tries to change her partner's life for the better by making him a kinder, more compassionate person. Although some of the men in her past have tried to stay romantically involved with Sara beyond a single month, Sara has never broken this rule. Sara finds her most difficult challenge awaiting her in the form of Charlie Blake (Anthony Newley), a heartless business executive. Blake is remorseless both in and out of the boardroom, but all that changes when he meets Sara on a cold, November day. Their subsequent whirlwind romance is one that will change Charlie forever and leave him pining for Sara, to the point that he pursues her even after the month is over. Charlie's attempts to gain Sara's hand in marriage eventually reveal Sara's true reason for her short-term romances in this emotional film.
