T. Rex: Born to Boogie: Evening Concert features rock group T. Rex, restored and remastered. T. Rex is a 70's era rock band led by singer Marc Bolan. Bolan's charisma drove the band to new success before he died in 1977, cutting its career short. This film revisits when T. Rex was on the verge of being one of the greatest rock bands of all times. Newly redone, this movie is actually two in one. First, there's the original 1972 film that features Marc Bolan, along with the rest of T. Rex's members, and had the distinction of being directed by Ringo Starr (of Beatles' Fame). Concert scenes were filmed at London's Wembly Arena, partly by Starr himself. Along with footage from two different concerts, there's also a documentary hosted by Bolan's son. T. Rex enthusiasts are treated to interviews with the band's drummer, Bill Legend, and their producer Tony Visconti. On top of all this is vintage footage from the studio where the members of T. Rex work with Ringo Starr and Elton John.moreless
