Talk to Me is a 2007 comedic drama that recounts the life of a popular African-American radio personality. After being sent to jail for committing armed robbery, Ralph "Petey" Greene (Don Cheadle) discovers his calling when he becomes the prison's disc jockey. While in prison, Greene meets radio producer, Dewey Hughes (Chiwetel Ejiofor), while Hughes is visiting his brother. After being released from prison, Hughes hires Greene to host a radio program that would ultimately become the now legendary show, "Rapping with Petey Greene." Greene's success on the radio is almost immediate, and he quickly becomes one of the most popular personalities in all of Washington, DC. His raucous show enrages station owner E.G. Sonderling (Martin Sheen), but Hughes is able to keep Greene on the air thanks to his enormous ratings. Despite their constant battles, Hughes and Greene ultimately become close friends. As tragedy grips both the nation and Greene's private life, his radio show remains the humorous constant in his life.moreless
