Movie Summary

Adam McKay
Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby is a 2006 sports comedy film starring Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, and Sacha Baron Cohen. Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly star as Ricky Bobby and Cal Naughton, Jr.; the number one NASCAR team in the USA. Their dominance in NASCAR is soon usurped by a French Formula One driver named Jean Girard (Baron Cohen). Ricky Bobby is driven to the brink of madness trying to keep up with his new found antagonist and is involved in a horrendous car wreck. This results in Jean being the unchallenged number one driver. Ricky Bobby is forced to move in with his mother and work as a pizza delivery man. On top of this, Ricky Bobby's wife Carley (Leslie Bibb) has left him for his former partner, Cal. At rock bottom Ricky's estranged father returns to his life to coach him back to the top of the racing world. Ricky is then convinced by his former secretary, Susan (Amy Adams) to return to racing. This leads to a show-down between Ricky Bobby and Jean Girard at the Talladega 500.moreless
