Target for Killing is a 1966 crime film directed by Manfred R. Kohler. This Euro-spy film was also called Das Geheimnis der Gelben Monche. The Bond-style thriller is dubbed in English and is the story of a young heiress, Sandra Perkins (Karin Dor), and the likable, sophisticated secret agent, James Vine (Stewart Granger). The killers are a group of Lebanese gangsters who want to assassinate the leading lady and claim her fortune. We first meet Sandra Perkins on a plane headed for Montenegro. The flight attendant is in cahoots with one of the pilots (Klaus Kinski) and they both work for a despicable man known as "The Giant" (Curt Jergens). In three days, on her 25th birthday, Miss Perkins will inherit an exorbitant sum of money. Vine is aboard the plane on his way to track and shut down "The Giant." Their paths cross, and although not assigned to protect this damsel in distress, that is what Vine sets out to do.moreless
