Tarzan’s New York Adventure is a 1942 action adventure movie by director Richard Thorpe, starring Johnny Weissmuller, Maureen O’Sullivan, and Johnny Sheffield. This time, jungle man Tarzan (Johnny Weissmuller) must save Boy (Johnny Sheffield) after circus owner Buck Rand (Charles Bickford) kidnaps him in order to make Boy perform in his circus show. When Tarzan and Jane follow them to New York, however, things do not go as they would wish. At a trial over the custody of Boy, Tarzan becomes violent and is jailed. Tarzan uses his jungle skills, however, to escape from the jungle and return to the hunt for Boy. With some help, Tarzan manages to find the circus again. Once there, he unites with the circus elephant for an epic rescue that will not easily be forgotten. Tarzan’s New York Adventure is a great family film for Tarzan fans, a live action movie about family, bravery, and perseverance.
