Team America World Police is a controversial comedy movie from South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. When power hungry dictator Kim Jong Il plans to destroy the world, Team America World Police must fight to save the world, freedom, and the American way. Team America is team of paramilitary police puppets who's look is inspired by British TV classic Thunderbirds. With their base located in Mount Rushmore, the freedom fighters are Lisa, Carson, Sarah, Joe, and Chris, led by government agent, Spottwoode. Their fighting style is reckless, blowing up the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre while fighting terrorists in Paris. When they have to go up against the Film Actors Guild (F.A.G.) the liberal Hollywood Actors, including Alec Baldwin, Matt Damon, Sean Penn, and Susan Sarandon, blame Team America for the terrorist actions. The team tries to clear their name by finding the terrorists in Derkaderkastan, when they are captured by terrorists and North Koreans. When Kim Jong Il reveals his sinister plans, Broadway star Gary Johnston has to save them and the world. Filled with classic quotes, and a crazy soundtrack full of the song styling of Parker and Stone, there are plenty of shocking and satirical laughs in Team America World Police.moreless

Yes, it's inventive, yes, it's out-there and audacious, but no, it's not always as funny as those good things would lead you to hope.
