Terror of Frankenstein is the Swedish adaptation of the film based on Mary Shelley's novel. Victor Frankenstein (Leon Vitali) is a doctor interested in studying medicine at Ingolstadt near a medical university. He moves to the town and soon takes an interest in the re-animation of a dead man made from body parts of different cadavers. The doctor succeeds in creating his monster (Per Oscarsson) who turns out to be a hideous looking, 8 foot tall creature. When Frankenstein sees what he has done, he faints from fright. His friend, Henry (Nicholas Clay) brings Victor home to recuperate. The next time the doctor sees his creature, he can talk, and begs for a mate. Dr. Frankenstein agrees and travels to a remote Scottish town to create a woman. He abruptly stops his work when it dawns on him that a race of such creatures could change mankind forever. As revenge, the monster kills Henry and vows to be with Frankenstein on his wedding night. The doctor tries to put the monster out of his mind and plans to be married, but as he walks down the aisle with his wife-to-be, his face does not display bliss. Terror grips Dr. Frankenstein as he knows the monster is out there somewhere, waiting for him.moreless
