Terror Of The Bloodhunters is a 1962 horror film about the dangers that lurk in the Amazon jungles. Steven (Robert Clarke) expresses himself honestly through his writing, even when his words upset the authorities and draw unwanted attention. After his subversive writing lands him in trouble with the law, Steven winds up in a strange French penal colony. He begins to plan his escape, but miles and miles of unmapped and potentially hostile jungle territory surround the penal colony. Steven finds an unlikely ally in the form of Marelene (Dorothy Haney), the daughter of the penal colony's commandant (Niles Andrus). Bored and lonely, Marlene has been plotting her own escape for years. Under the guise of innocent painting lessons, Marlene, Steven and a second prisoner, Dione (William White), finally hatch a foolproof escape plan. Once they are beyond the walls of the penal colony, however, the danger of the situation sinks in, and the three wonder if it has come to a choice between imprisonment or certain death.moreless
