Terrorists is a comedic satire written by Jay Martel, which pokes fun at how the American public has let their fears run wild since the attacks of 9-11. The War on Terror is not only fought in foreign countries, but also in the small town of Junction, where this story takes place. When John Stevens, a middle-eastern graduate student arrives in town to verify the cities claim that they house the world's largest stool, he quickly finds himself immersed in the middle of an impending terror plot. Junction's police chief, Curtis Gorfurter, uses the unsubstantiated evidence he has gathered to persuade the town that an attack is imminent and his thirst for power to push forward in his quest. Somehow vandalism to a prominent statue in Junction and a note left by Stevens while trying to develop some photos causes the town to brace for a terrorist attack that was created virtually out of thin air.
