Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre) is a the 1994 sequel to the original Chainsaw film of 1974. This second installment was written and directed by Kim Henkel (Last Night at the Alamo), who also helped co-write the original film. The movie stars Ren'e Zellweger (Jerry Maguire, Bridget Jones series) and Matthew McConaughey (Dazed and Confused, The Wedding Planner, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days) in what would be their first roles in mainstream film. The dreaded Leatherface (Robert Jacks) is back on the hunt for skin - but this time he is equipped with the support of his disturbed family. Four teenagers, one of whom is cute Jenny (Ren'e Zellweger) become lost and stranded within the woods. To their relief, they are found by a local family and eagerly accept their offer to follow them home. Clearly, the innocent teens are unaware of Leatherface and the barbaric nature of his family. Once inside, Jenny and her friends realize they are in for it. Vilmer Sawyer (Matthew McConaughey) is just one of the many obstacles standing in survival's way. A great film for all fans of the Texas Chainsaw franchise.moreless
