The 7th Voyage of Sinbad is one of a number of movies about the character. In this particular film Sinbad (Kerwin Mathews) is returning to Baghdad with Princess Parisa (Kathryn Grant), with their wedding planned. On the way, they have to stop for supplies, and anchor near Colossa Island. They are attacked by a cyclops and in the process of escaping rescue the magician Sokurah (Torin Thatcher). He helps them with a magic lamp containing a young genie (Richard Eyer), but the lamp is lost. Sokurah at first tries to bribe Sinbad to return to Colossa, then tries to hire a ship and crew from the Caliph of Baghdad, determined to recover his lamp. Finally, he shrinks Princess Parisa and insists the only antidote is on Colossa. Sinbad is forced to return to the island to save his love from her fate. The movie has the distinction of being the first color movie to use stop-motion animation.
