The Abandoned is a 2006 Spanish-British horror film directed by Nacho Cerda and starring Anastasia Hile, Karel Roden, and Valentin Goshev. The film tells the story of an adopted girl that returns to her homeland of Russia to take over the farm she has recently inherited. When Marie travels from the United States to Russia take a look at the farm, she discovers that the locals refuse to take her there. When she finally convinces a man to take her there, he quickly disappears after their arrival. While exploring the property, Marie meets Boris, who claims to have been taken to the property under similar circumstances. As ghosts of the past, and future, taunt Marie, she becomes unable to leave the property. Boris and Marie must then fight their way out of the property if they want o stay alive.
