Movie Summary

Director:
Barry Sonnenfeld
Released:
1991
Rating:
PG-13

The Addams Family are still creepy, kooky, and altogether spooky, and they're back in their very own movie. In this TV show turned epic caper, Uncle Fester (Christopher Lloyd) comes back to town after a twenty-five year jaunt in the Bermuda Triangle. He shows up with a companion who is also a professional psychiatrist, Dr. Greta Pinder-Schloss (Elizabeth Wilson). The family happily welcomes them. It's hard to call something strange in this already strange family, but Fester is behaving oddly. Thing is the one who points out how normal he seems, and clearly normal isn't right. Nevertheless, Gomez (Raul Julia) and Morticia (Anjelica Huston) proceed with plans to throw a party for the living and dead alike. Fester and his friend start to show an uncommon interest in the Addams family fortune, but the Addams are oddly accommodating. Somewhere between quirky and eccentric, this flick satisfies the curiosity of those who remember classic TV.
