The Adventures of Greyfriars Bobby is a fact-based family drama film set in Edinburgh, Scotland. The film is about a local police officer named John Gray (Thomas Lockyer) and his loyal West Highland White Terrier dog named Bobby. John and Bobby are inseparable, like two peas in a pod. Officer John Gray meets a shy young boy named Ewan (Oliver Golding) who is fond of his dog. John allows Ewan to befriend Bobby. John tragically dies while trying to save his wife from a thief with a knife. He is given a proper burial but his loyal dog refuses to leave his side. Bobby refuses to leave his owner and stays by his grave, but complications arise when a new law prohibiting stray dogs in the area is passed. A friendly gravedigger, James Brown (James Cosmo), befriends the dog and provides him with food, water and protection. Although Bobby is fond of little Ewan, he can't seem to get Bobby away from the grave. What will happen to Bobby?moreless
