Movie Summary

Robert Rodríguez

The Adventures of Sharkboy & Lavagirl is about a ten year old boy named Max (Cayden Boyd) who is a dreamer. Max is socially rejected by his classmates and is forced to spend his summer vacation alone. During his lonely days, he creates two imaginary friends, his two favorite superheroes. One is a powerful Sharkboy (Taylor Lautner) and the other is a fire-producing Lavagirl (Taylor Dooley) from Planet Drool. He soon realizes that his imaginary friends aren't imaginary after all. Sharkboy and Lavagirl have come to seek Max's help. They need help in saving Planet Drool from the evil Mr. Electric (George Lopez). Mr. Electric threatens to destroy the planet. Sharkboy and Lavagirl claim that Max is the only one that can save it from utter destruction. So Max goes on his ultimate adventure to Planet Drool, his dream world, with his two pals at his side. Max to the rescue! David Arquette and Kristin Davis co-star as Max's parents.
