The Air I Breathe is a 2007 drama co-written by Jieho Lee and Bob DeRosa and is directed by Jieho Lee. Four loosely connected stories exploring the emotions of happiness, sorrow, pleasure and love are woven together in this eccentric film. Fingers (Andy Garcia) is a dangerous mobster whose activities bring together four strangers. A low level manager, Happiness (Forest Whitaker), overhears a conversation while in the restroom. He learns of a sure bet in an upcomming horserace and bets his entire life savings. Happiness looses everything and becomes in debt to Fingers. Next, Sorrow (Sarah Michelle Gellar) is a failing pop star who has her recording contract sold to Fingers and finds herself held hostage. Pleasure (Brendan Fraiser) is a man with psychic abilities working as Finger's henchman. Lastly, Love (Kevin Bacon) is a doctor who watches helplessly as the woman he loves slowly dies. He is willing to do anything to save her.
