The Alphabet Killer is a 2008 psychological thriller based on true events directed by Rob Schmidt. It stars Eliza Dushku as the police investigator Megan Paige who is hunting down a maniacal serial killer who's been raping and killing young girls in Rochester, New York. Megan has become obsessed with finding the killer after seeing the aftermath of one of his grisly rape/murders. The long hours she is putting into the hunt is starting to affect her as she starts having hallucinations of the murdered girl. Even though her mind is snapping Megan tries to continue her investigation. She believes that the killer is local, while the rest of the police force believe the killer is a drifter. Megan realizes that the victims names, as well as where she was found both start with the letter 'C,' proving he is a clever planner and not just some random drifter. The supporting cast includes Cary Elwes, Timothy Hutton, Michael Ironside and Bill Moseley (Texas Chainsaw Massacre II).
