The Astral Factor is a 1977 suspenseful film that is full of murder, intrigue and even a little bit of the supernatural. A mentally ill prisoner finds out that he can make himself invisible one day while practicing yoga. Roger Sands (Frank Ashmore) grew up with a mother who didn't want him and all of his life he felt unloved. As he grew older, his mental instability turned evil and he rage turned murderous as he strangled a woman to death. The police quickly catch him and put him in a prison for the mentally insane. He loathes being stuck in prison and decides to take his imprisonment into his own hands. He begins practicing yoga on a daily basis and also begins to study the supernatural. Soon he figures out how to make himself disappear and he escapes from prison by doing a supernatural ritual and yoga. Once he is free, he sets his sights on the five women who testified against him at his trial. He wants to strangle each of them and seek revenge on them for putting him in jail. The police desperately search for him, and they race against time as they search everywhere for him before he can kill any of his victims.
