The Atomic Man, also known as Timeslip, is a 1955 science fiction film directed by Ken Hughes. When an unidentified man is found unconscious and near death in London's Thames River, he is rushed to the emergency room, where doctors manage to save his life. Science reporter Mike Delaney (Gene Nelsen) and his girlfriend, a photographer named Jill (Faith Domergue), are shocked to discover that the mysterious man looks just like scientist Stephen Rayner (Peter Arne), who is well-known for his experiments in recreating elements. However, there is a man working at the Brandt Institute with strange bandages on his face who also claims that he is Stephen. The mystery deepens when Jill notices that the man in the hospital has a radioactive glow around his body in the photographs that she takes of him. When the unconscious patient finally wakes up, he states that he is Stephen and finds that he has the strange ability to see seven-and-a-half seconds in the future. Mike and Jill must struggle to discover what happened to him and figure out which one of the men is the real Stephen Rayner.moreless
