The Baby-Sitters Club is a 1995 movie based on the young adult books of the same name authored by Ann M. Martin, about Kristy Thomas (Schuyler Fisk), the head of the Baby-Sitters Club, a group of her friends who take care of their family friends and neighbors’ children. The club includes Kristy’s best friend Mary Anne Spier (Rachael Leigh Cook), Dawn Schafer (Larisa Oleynik), Claudia Kishi (Tricia Joe), Stacey McGill (Bre Blair), Mallory Pike (Stacy Linn Ramsower), and Jessica “Jessiâ€? Ramsey (Zelda Harris). For the summer, the club decides to open a day camp for all their clients, and it turns out to be one small factor in a summer full of adventures. Kristy is meeting her estranged father, and only tells Mary Anne, who faces the pressure of keeping a secret. Claudia is struggling through summer school, while Dawn keeps the angry neighbor of the camp at bay, and Stacey, always boy-crazy, harbors a crush on a 17-year-old boy who. Mallory is writing her first novel and Jassi is pursuing her dream of becoming a professional dancer. While the girls face the natural challenges of a summer of being 13 years old, they also overcome countless personal problems while keeping their business afloat and remaining best friends.moreless
