The Babysitters is a 2007 film starring Katherine Waterson, John Leguizamo, and Cynthia Nixon in a story about an enterprising high school teenager who transforms her part-time babysitting job into a full-time call girl operation. Waterson plays Shirley Lyner, an adventurous teen who has trouble relating to people her own age. She makes money babysitting for some local families, including Michael Beltran's (Leguizamo). Michael and Shirley begin to spend extra time together after she sits for him, and she realizes she gets along well with older men. When she innocently accepts some extra babysitting cash in return for sharing an intimate moment with Michael, she realizes she's accidentally stumbled onto a reliable front for a call girl business. She enlists the help of some other pretty girls from her school, and soon Shirley's extracurricular activities are requiring her full attention. In The Babysitters, Shirley explores human morality and sexuality as her business quickly gets out of control.
