The Big Fall is a 1997 crime-thriller that was directed by C. Thomas Howell, who also is the main character in the story. In the movie, grief-stricken Emma Russell (Sophie Ward) believes that her brother, Kenny, is still alive after being involved in a plane crash. Kenny is a flight instructor, who after the crash, police presumed dead but they were never able to recover the body. Emma feels certain that her brother is still alive and hires private investigator, Blaise Rybeck (C. Thomas Howell) to help her find him. Blaise is hesitant about taking the case since he usually works on finding cheating spouses for his clients, but in the end he agrees to help her. He goes undercover into the face-paced, action-filled life that Kenny led and befriends Kenny's old friends, a group a bungee jumping, sky diving daredevils. As Blaise works to fit into the group, his good friend, FBI agent Bill Wilcox (William Applegate), tells him to back away from the case because there are things he does not know. Blaise tries to listen to his friend but he may already be in too deep to get out.moreless
