The Big Night is a noir drama that follows Frankie (Randy Sparks) as he miraculously stumbles on a large sum of money. One night Frankie and his girl Ellie (Venetia Stevenson), find a briefcase floating in the water. Frankie dives into the water to retrieve the briefcase. Frankie is amazed because when he opens the briefcase, it contains a large sum of money. He sees on the news the next day though that the money had been stolen from a bank and that the robbers had been caught. Realizing that he should return the money, he has to deal with the guilt and greed he feels about having such a large sum of money. He is not used to the responsibility that the money brings him and he gets caught up in a life of greed and lust. The money also causes problems between him and his girlfriend Ellie, and it begins to hinder him in other aspects of his life as well. Frankie has to learn to deal with the money and do the right thing so that his life doesn't fall apart.
