The Billion Dollar Hobo is a goofy comedy about a lamebrain that has to live like a hobo in order to collect an inheritance. When the lovable but very dumb Vernon Praiseworthy's (Tim Conway) billionaire uncle Choo Choo Trayne (Will Geer) dies, he stands to inherit a very astute German Shepard and a large sum of money, under one condition: he must live as a hobo for a period of time. Trayne looks to teach his nephew the same lesson he learned, working up the ranks as a migrant during The Great Depression, so Vernon sets out lives a bum's life. But when he is wrapped up in an international dog stealing fiasco, the newly wealthy dingbat might be in way over his head. His new best friend proves to be very helpful and much smarter than him as he tries to squeeze his way of this very dubious pickle. Stuart E. McGowan directs this slapstick comedy featuring the legendary funnyman from Carol Burnett Show fame.moreless
