The Blob is an American science fiction and horror movie classic that was made in 1958 by Paramount Pictures and that starred a young unknown Steve McQueen in his debut performance. When Steve Andrews (McQueen) is out with his girlfriend, Jane (Aneta Corsaut) on a date, they see a falling star come crashing down. So Steve does what any teen in a horror movie does: goes to investigate. He should know this isn't just any meteor! This comes carrying a gelatinous blob that craves human flesh to absorb and grow bigger. It starts by attacking the local farmer! Steve takes the farmer (and the blob attached) to the town center but that's just taking the creature to the buffet! The blob escapes and soon enough people go missing, rumors begin, and the blob alien just gets bigger! Not to fear, Steve and Jane are in the middle of it. Can they save the town before the blob swallows it up completely, you'll just have to find out. This original cult classic spawned both a remake and sequel.
