The Blue Iguana is an action movie about bounty hunter Vince Holloway (Dylan McDermott). It's a movie where the hero is technically one of the bad guys, but is forced by circumstance to help the side of good. In Vince's case, he is being blackmailed by tax collectors for the US government. The government agents know of an illegal and untaxed sum of 20 million dollars currently in Mexico. They know it is to be transferred into the United States, and use Vince to stop that from happening. To carry out their wishes and protect his own enterprises, Vince goes to the desolate, crime-ridden town of Diablo. To stop the transfer, he must break into the bank where the money is now held, which seems an impossible task as the guard would rather shoot any suspicious person and ask the questions afterward, just like most gangsters in this town. To get in, Vince will need help from Dakota (Pamela Gidley) - a barmaid native to this terrible place.
