The Brain That Wouldn't Die is a science fiction/horror film that centers on one man's attempt to bring his dead fianc''e back to life. Dr. Bill Cortner (Jason Evers) is a scientist who is engaged to Jan Compton (Virgina Leith). One day the couple is involved in a horrific car accident and Jan's head is decapitated. Bill collects her head and brings it to a laboratory where he puts it in a liquid tray to keep it alive. He devises a plan to murder a woman so he can attach Jan's head to the new body. The problem is that Jan does not want to be saved so she devises a deadly plan of her own which includes telepathically communicating with a mutant in the hopes it will kill Bill. However, it appears the mutant has a mind of its own when it begins to cause more havoc than anyone ever could have imagined.
