The Bridge in the Jungle is a 1971 film that follows Gale (Charles Robinson), a young and naive hunter who enters the Mexican jungle. Feeling out of place in the jungle, he disrespects the unfamiliar landscape and the strange people, as well as ignoring warnings that he will not be able to survive in the jungle for long. One day, Gale is exploring the landscape and hunting crocodiles when he becomes delirious and disoriented. A veteran hunter living with the native people, Sleigh (John Huston), rescues the dying Gale and takes him back to the village. When Gale begins feeling better, Sleigh denounces the modern-day society that Gale is used to, like people's greed for money and materials. He even shows Gale firsthand a tragic example of what modern-day society inflicted on his land. Pancho Kohner directs The Bridge in the Jungle, an adventure drama that portrays the evils of modern-day society.
