The Brown Bunny

Movie Summary

Director:
Vincent Gallo
Released:
2004
Rating:
R
The Brown Bunny is a 2003 flick about a competitive road biker named Bud Clay (Vincent Gallo). He rides from New Hampshire all the way to California for not only a race, but as an attempt to erase the one girl he truly loved from his memory, Daisy (Chloe Sevigny). He tries relentlessly to remove this girl from his head, but nothing works, not even sleeping with another woman. He feels alone without Daisy, and no other woman can replace the thought of her in his head. Along his journey, Bud meets several women, but only leaves them just as quick. Later in the film, Bud reunites with Daisy in a racy scene between the two. However, the good feelings do not last as Bud becomes jealous of other men that Daisy has been seeing. Is there any hope for Bud, or is this the end with Daisy? The Brown Bunny directed by Vincent Gallo received notable attention at the Toronto International Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival.moreless
