The Cannonball Run II is a 1984 road race sequel starring Burt Reynolds and an all-star cast, including the Rat Pack, as they compete in a cross-country race for a cash prize. Over-the-hill race car driver J.J. McClure (Burt Reynolds) and his mechanic Victor Prinzim (Dom DeLuise) have returned for a second try at winning the illegal Run from coast to coast. This time, they use an ambulance as their transportation to avoid the police. Their competition include: sisters, Betty (Marilu Henner) and Veronica (Shirley MacLaine), who disguise themselves as nuns; The Sheik (Jamie Farr), who has the mob after him and even a cameo by Frank Sinatra as himself. As the teams wind their way between Connecticut and California, they try all manner of dirty tricks on one another. Director Hal Needham combines daring stunts and slapstick comedy with an impressive and eclectic cast including Jackie Chan, Sammy David Jr., Dean Martin, Don Knotts, Ricardo Montalban and Abe Vigoda.
