The Carson City Kid is an action film from 1940, starring Roy Rogers. The film is centered on The Carson City Kid's (Roy Rogers) search for Morgan Reynolds (Bob Steele) who killed his younger brother over a fixed card game. In an effort to locate Reynolds who is a notorious gambler, The Kid stops all stagecoaches heading out west, to search the mail on board for anything addressed to Reynolds. The Kid quickly earns the reputation as a stagecoach robber, despite the fact that he never takes anything from the stopped stagecoaches. The Kid's reputation as an outlaw is increased by the fact that he travels with a known outlaw Laramie (Francis McDonald). Upon catching up with Reynolds, The Kid learns that the gambler is up to his old cheating ways and is attempting to cheat one of the Kid's friends. Now The Carson City Kid must stop Reynolds, while avoiding the authorities.
