The Celestine Prophecy is a 2006 dramatic film directed by Armand Mastroianni that was based on the best selling novel by James Redfield that sold over 23 million copies in 1993. It was one of the best selling books of all time, so turning it into a film seemed a sure fire success plan. However it wasn't. The film was a huge flop that was universally reviled. Its worldwide gross was less than one million dollars. It's Rotten Tomatoes rating is only four percent. Once there John finds much more than just old scrolls, he finds a full spiritual awakening .
