The Ceremony is the 1963 classic thriller about a convict facing death row. Sean McKenna (Laurence Harvey) has been convicted of murder in Tangiers and has no hope of escape. The truth is that he was actually trying to prevent the murder, but when caught on the scene, he was blamed for the crime. Now because he is the scapegoat, he has no way out. Sean's girlfriend, Catherine (Sarah Miles), and his brother, Dominic (Robert Walker, Jr.), hatch a plan to break Sean out, since there seems no just legal way of setting him free. However, in the midst of the escape plan, Sean realizes that Catherine has been having an affair with Dominic, and everything threatens to unravel. Time is against him as he works towards an escape. He will never be able to return to life the way it used to be, as he is now loveless and will have to live on the run.
