The Chinese Connection is a 1972 Chinese martial arts movie starring martial arts legend, Bruce Lee. In the United States, the movie is also known as the "The Fist of Fury" or "The Iron Hand". The story takes place in the 18th century in Shanghai during the Japanese invasion of China. Chen (Bruce Lee), a top student of a Kung Fu master, returns to his old martial arts school and finds that his master was mysteriously murdered by the Japanese. Infuriated by the death of his beloved teacher, he is determined to investigate and look for vengeance. However, he is told by the school's new head teacher to forget about it since no Chinese man can do anything as long as the Japanese are in power. The brutal humiliation that the Chinese people receive from the Japanese further burn Chen's desire for revenge and to uplift the pride and dignity of his people.
