The Creeping Flesh is a 1973 horror film starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee in a tale about science vs. evil. Cushing plays Emmanuel Hildern, a Victorian scientist who believes evil is a disease of the blood. He fears his wife was infected with evil and has passed the disease on to their daughter, a young woman who exhibits flashes of the insanity that took over her mother. Cushing recovers an ancient skeleton from the jungles of Borneo and returns to London with it. Legend has it the creature was a manifestation of pure evil, and when exposed to water the creature will return and plunge the world into darkness. Dr. Hildern believes he can use the skeleton to develop a vaccine for evil. With the cure in hand he could save his daughter from spending her life in an asylum. When the creature begins growing new flesh over its ancient bones, Dr. Hildern must rush to create the vaccine before the creature destroys humanity. The Creeping Flesh is a British horror classic, starring two of horror's greatest stars.moreless
