The Curse of Frankenstein is a 1957 Hammer British horror film about a mad scientist who creates a monster from human body parts. While mentoring under Dr. Paul Krempe (Robert Urquhart), Baron Von Frankenstein (Peter Cushing) successfully brings a dog back to life. Believing that he can do the same with humans, he assembles a number of body parts from the morgue and murders a distinguished Professor (Paul Hardtmuth) for his brain. Although the Baron successfully brings the creature to life, it is psychotic and violent. After the creature commits a violent murder, the Baron and Dr. Krempe kills and bury the creature. When Dr. Krempe leaves town, the Baron retrieves the body and re-animates it. It murders a member of the house staff and escapes, which leaves the Baron in a very precarious position. Now that the creature is once again on the loose, the Baron must find it before it kills more townspeople.
