The Dark Corner is an atmospheric mystery film directed by Henry Hathaway and set in New York City. Detective-for-hire Bradford Galt (Mark Stevens) has recently been released from a two-year prison stint he served for a murder he did not commit. Shortly after establishing himself in New York, Galt learns that he is being framed for another murder: the murder of Tony Jardine (Kurt Kreuger), his corrupt former partner. It was Jardine who framed Galt several years ago and got him sent to prison. With Jardine dead, Galt must race to discover the identity of the true killer before he is arrested and sent back to prison. He is assisted in his efforts by his girlfriend and secretary Kathleen (Lucille Ball), who is one of the few people who truly believe in Galt's innocence. The Dark Corner is a favorite of film noir enthusiasts and keeps viewers guessing until its final moments. Fans of mysteries and crime dramas should not pass this up!moreless
