The Dawn is a black and white, low-budget vampire film from 2003. Dawn (K.C. Young) is a 10-year-old vampire. She is the product of her vampire mother, Sarah (Mindy Raymond), who died in childbirth, and her human father, John (Ray Boucher). The two live a transient life due to Dawn's insatiable appetite. They spend their time casing people so Dawn can go in for the kill while John waits. The old and infirm are Dawn's main victims and their deaths offer a relief from suffering. Dawn, who wishes to learn everything she can about her mother, longs to go back to Laramie, Oklahoma, where she was born to visit her mother's grave. In the meantime, one of her victims is found and a psychic, Carlton Reed (Jay Reel), is asked to help with the case. Carleton is from Laramie, and his mother was a victim of Dawn, who grows increasingly violent as time passes. Dawn and John's lives begin to change when Carleton starts to figure out the horrible truth.moreless
