The Desperados is a western film about Josiah Galt (Jack Palance), a preacher seeking vengeance after the death of his wife. Galt begins leading a gang of southern outlaws, the members of which include his three sons, David (Vince Edwards), Adam (Christian Robert), and Jacob (George Maharis). When the gang raids a Kansas town and Adam tries to rape a young girl, David can no longer handle his family's wrong doings and tries to leave. Unable to leave undetected, David is brought back, accused of treason, and sentenced to hang at the hands of his own father. Before his sentence is fulfilled, David successfully escapes and returns to his wife Laura (Sylvia Simms) and their son, Pauly, using a false name. When he hears of his family's return to Texas David contemplates informing the sheriff, but when a confrontation arises he is forced to turn to his old ways and fight for his wife and child.
