The Double is an experimental, avant garde music production from CreateSpace. CreateSpace is a self-publisher that allows budding musicians to experiment with their own mixes and distribute them internationally. This collection consists of three different strands of heavy noise that are synthesized into a rhythmic, thirty-three minute piece of music. It's a kind of esoteric background sound that is meant to be unique enough to catch the listener's attention without actually spelling out any distinct melody. The Double is a new trio, guitar, keyboard, and drums, with a thrash metal sound heavily influenced by the London underground. The sound is intended to be chaotic, but amidst the chaos is a simple cry for awareness and emotional authenticity. The heavy distortion and untranslatable vocals make for a musical interpretation of dystopian modern societies, but the persistent seeking after coherent rhythm represents the human element that longs for meaning. It's an intense and emotional show.
